Shellacs - 78's - Schellacks - 78iger

Many years ago - I suppose around 1990 - I was invited by Werner Panke to come to his house in Altena. Not just for a coffeebreak but to chat about Charlie Parker. Werner at that time was already ill but kept himself busy with wooden handmade cups, plates, forks and knifes - and sold these at special market places.
In the seventies Werner wrote columns on jazz and made hundreds of photos during concerts and festivals - mostly in the Ruhrgebiet area and at the Moers Jazzfestival starting in 1974.
I bought the photos - all negatives - with all rights for publishing. But when I asked him about his small collection with Charlie Parker shellacs, he said, "You can have them when I'm dead". Werner died some years ago, I don't know the exact date - maybe because I moved to often the last 25 years.

In 2000 he was so kind to send me a cd-rom with 11 scans. So here they are - converted from tif to jpec. Think about Werner when you're regarding them.
